BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – A 32-year-old Coldwater man was arrested early Sunday morning after shots were fired in the 100 block of Roosevelt Street in Bronson.
Bronson Police report numerous residents called 911 after hearing multiple gunshots at about 12:49 a.m. Police Officer Jody Fuller responded and found multiple spent handgun casings. His investigation revealed they were fired from a moving vehicle after the suspect had engaged in an argument with a former girlfriend.
The suspect was later found in Coldwater and the handgun was seized.
The man was lodged in the Branch County Jail on preliminary charges of Unlawfully Discharging a Weapon from a Motor Vehicle and Unlawfully Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment in Branch County District Court.
Bronson Police were assisted by Coldwater Police, the Michigan State Police and the Bronson Fire Department.
