BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Police Department has released a photo of a vehicle of interest in the robbery at the PNC Bank branch on West Chicago Street in downtown Bronson Friday morning.
The car is most likely a Hyundai Accent, described as gray-ish in color, registration and state unknown. Anyone seeing a vehicle matching the description is asked, if it can be done safely, to jot down where and when it was spotted, along with a license plate number and other available descriptions, and forward the information to Bronson Police at 517-369-9083 or Branch County Silent Observer at 517-279-2000.
PNC is now offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.
A picture of the suspect, who was described as an six-foot African American male wearing a grey skullcap, grey hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses, was also released by Bronson Police.
UPDATE, 12/22/2018: Bronson police released two more photos of the suspect on Saturday. In their Facebook posting, police officials said, “Thanks to all you have shared the information and also to those who have provided tips. We are continuing to sort out all of the available information as the investigation is ongoing. And finally, a thankful shout out to our county, state, and federal partners who have contributed greatly to this matter!”
Meanwhile, WNDU-TV is reporting that a Flagstar Bank branch in South Bend was robbed Tuesday morning. The description of the suspect matches that of the Bronson PNC bank robbery.
