Vicky Lynn (Spindlow) Logsdon, 76, of Athens passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Medilodge of Marshall.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2025 at the Fredonia Holiness Church, 10600 13 ½ Mile Road, Marshall, MI with Pastor John Beardslee officiating.
Interment will be at Houston Cemetery at a later date.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Vicky was born on May 20, 1949 in Marshall, Michigan to Stewart and Audrey (Cavinder) Spindlow. She was raised in a large family and graduated from Athens High School in 1966. She married Robert Spindlow May 20, 1967. The couple moved to Burlington, Iowa in 1969, where they made a life and raised their three daughters.
While in Iowa, Vicky sold Tupperware, was a manager at the local Spencer Gifts store, and later worked as a CAN at a local nursing home. In 1990, her marriage to Robert ended in divorce. She moved back to the Athens area in 1991 and remained there the rest of her life.
She worked at Speed’s Coffee Shop in Battle Creek for several years and that is where she met Lawrence “Larry” Logsdon. They were married on January 26, 1996. They attended the Fredonia Holiness Church together; the same church that Vicky was raised in as a child. Larry preceded her in death in 2011.
Since Vicky moved back to Michigan, she enjoyed a close relationship with her sister June and her family, who was always there for her.
Vicky was a very private person. She was quiet, caring, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; like reading a good book, crocheting, and living a life of peace and solitude.
Always hardworking, Vicky spent many hours working in her garden and taking care of her immaculate yard. She had a love for country music, especially Randy Travis and Kenny Rogers.
Survivors include; her daughters, Robin (Lynn) Trebesch of Morgan, MN, Tressa (Gary) Miller of Winfield, IA, and Cynthia Frost of Burlington, IA; her sisters, Joan (David) Salisbury of Charlotte, Judy Wing of Graham, WA, June (Ted) Faulk of Athens, and Marcy Johnson of South Bend, IN; her former spouse, Robert Spindlow of Burlington, IA; her 6 grandchildren; and her 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Larry Logsdon, Vicky was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Millie Hair and Rebecca Spindlow; and her brother, Joe Spindlow.
