Yvonne “Diane” Brunt, 83, of Union City passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
In keeping with Diane’s wishes, she will be cremated and no public services will be held.
She will be privately interred at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens at a later date.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Diane was born April 6, 1942 to Albert Edward and Alice Odele (Bower) Clemens in Battle Creek, Michigan. She graduated from Athens High School with the Class of 1960. After high school, Diane worked at American Woodcraft as a carpenter for 14 years, then at Kellogg’s as a line operator, retiring after 17 years.
Diane was an outdoorsy person, who enjoyed deer hunting and searching for morel mushrooms. She loved planting flowers and vegetables in her garden, visiting with her friends, spending time at casinos, vacationing on cruises, going out to eat, reading, and watching game shows and soap operas. Diane would do anything for anyone.
Surviving Diane is her siblings, Duane Clemens of Coldwater and Myron Clemens of Athens; her stepsister, Linda Gordon of Union City; her several nieces and nephews; her best and closest friends, Dee Cornett, Tracy Miller, Vickie MacDonald; and her granddaughters, Danielle McClellan, Cassie Carter, Summer Thorpe, and Malissa MacDonald.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tony Wadsworth; her siblings, Charlotte Smith, Charleen Clemens, Linda Gose, and Maurice Clemens.
