Evelyn Louise Westfall, 86, of Montgomery passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Pastor Herb Strickland officiating.
Burial will follow at California Corners Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
She was born August 29, 1939 in Betzer, MI to Charles and Inez (Stone) Hartman. She married Lester “Whitey” Westfall and he preceded her in death in 1997.
Evelyn began her education in Montgomery and graduated from Reading High School. She dedicated more than 20 years to Wal-Mart in Angola, where she took on nearly every role except cashier.
An avid knitter, she had a well-known love for collecting yarn. She loved her animals, especially her beloved dog, Beefy, and enjoyed feeding the fish and watching the birds by the pond at her home. Spending time on the porch on warm sunny days with a book and her cats. Most of all, she loved the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Sheri (Lou) Muzzillo of Angola, Stacey (Letha) Westfall of Montgomery, Sean (Ashley) Westfall of Montgomery, Jackie Lane of Hillsdale, Lester (Lois) Westfall of Sheridan, Steven (Cindi) Westfall of Water Valley, KY, Jeannie (Fred) Elkins of Hudson and Roger (Cheryl) Westfall of Fremont; sister, Elaine Rising of Clayton, MI; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester “Whitey” Westfall; and brothers, Charles and Garold Hartman and her beloved dog, Pebbles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sean or Ashley Westfall.
