Carl Lee Persails, 79, of Coldwater passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at Insight Hospital and Medical Center Coldwater.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
He was born February 5, 1947 in Quincy to Arleigh Arthur and Ruth Olive (Rose) Persails.
Carl proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was in the 633rd Engineers stationed in Camp Stanley in South Korea. After serving his country he work at Acorn Products in Quincy for 30 years. He enjoyed watching horror and Syfy movies and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Carl also loved a bloody steak and traveling to Arizona.
Carl is survived by two daughters, Lisa Persails of Bronson, Staci (Eddie) Osborne of Coldwater; three sisters, Arlene Persails of Coldwater, Diana Baker of Quincy, Lorraine (Jim) Gaglio of Coldwater; four brothers, Jim (Judy) MacCrae of Toledo, Arthur Persails of Arizona, Larry Persails of Coldwater, Michael Persails; six grandchildren, Jessica Kintigh, Mark Fenton, Nathaniel (Stephanie) Rurka, Johnpaul Thimlar, Grace Thimlar, Emma Sexton and 11 great-grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Cheryl Kintigh; one sister, Geri Stephens; one brother, Rodney Persails; one granddaughter, Marissa Berry; two sons-in-law, Christopher Thimlar, Shea Gillette and the mothers of his daughters, Marsha Swan-Ash and Dorothy Kintigh.
