COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man is facing deportation back to Mexico for a sex crime.
32-year-old Javier Ramirez was given a 90 day jail sentence Tuesday in Branch County District Court after he entered a no contest plea to a charge of indecent exposure.
A charge of accosting children for immoral purposes was dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for his plea.
Ramirez was arrested following a Coldwater Police Department investigation into incidents that were reported in early June 2018.
A court spokesperson says Ramirez has been released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for possible deportation after I.C.E. had earlier placed a hold on him.
