COLDWATER MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council has officially approved the authorization to distribute the city’s newly Master Plan for public review.
Acting on a formal request from Planning and Zoning Administrator Robert Hawley, the council’s approval greenlights the distribution of the comprehensive planning document to neighboring jurisdictions, school districts, utility providers, and state-required public agencies.
Compiled after a year of extensive community surveys, steering committee meetings, and focus groups, the draft outlines critical goals and infrastructure strategies to guide the future growth of the City of Coldwater.
This window allows affected external entities and local residents the opportunity to submit formal feedback and recommendations.
Hawley told the council they had hoped to have the process completed by the end of summer but due to some delays assembling the plan they had to push back the time line.
Hawley said the Master Plan will be available for the public to review at City Hall as well as the cities website.
Once the review period concludes, the Coldwater Planning Commission will evaluate all submitted comments and host a public hearing before presenting the final Master Plan to the city council for formal adoption.
