A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2026 at the First Congregational UCC, 410 N. Broadway Street, Union City with Pastor Aaron Rieder officiating.

Diane was born May 5, 1954 to Arnold and Eleanor (Nicholson) Brooks in Battle Creek, Michigan.
She graduated from Union City High School with the Class of 1972 where she met and later married blue-eyed, bad boy,’ Bill Haley September 4, 1976. He preceded her in death June 20, 2026. They spent the next 50 years raising their children, traveling, and just being together. They lead by example and left a lasting legacy for their family through their unconditional love.
Diane was passionate about teeth and enjoyed meeting new people. She flourished as a dental hygienist for over 45 years, spending 30 of those working locally for Dr. Morton.
For nearly 40 years, Diane was an integral part of the First Congregational Church. She was an instrument of God and served Him in a multitude of ways; including mission trips, leading both children’s moments and Vacation Bible school, teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and playing the bells – she was truly a devout Christian woman.
Diane loved golfing with her husband, bowling with her friends, and exercising with her sister. If she wasn’t participating in activities, she was watching them; she loved competition. She especially loved watching and supporting her kids, grandkids, nieces, and great grandkids. Her love and pride in her family were unmatched. She loved you out loud and her whistle was legendary! Her family will remember her as outspoken, feisty, fiercely loving, and unapologetically herself. They will carry her in their hearts forever.
Left to mourn Diane are her children, Ryan (Jennifer Lewis) Haley of Battle Creek, Kevin (Robin) Haley, and Teasha (Bryant) McIntosh of Union City; her grandchildren, Jasmine (Rylee Baird) McIntosh and Haley (Samiere Frederick) McIntosh; and her great-grandchildren, Marlee Baird, Kai Baird, Tariq Frederick, and Asha Frederick. Diane also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Carol Brooks of Union City and Laura Miller of Reading; her sister-in-law Barb Haley of Bronson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Bill, Diane was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law Mitch Miller.
