COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After surging to $4.40 per gallon at the beginning of the week, gas prices in Branch County have gone back down.
AAA Michigan says the average price in the county is now $4.17 per gallon, a drop of 23 cents since Monday.
The average price for gas in Michigan is now $4.28 per gallon, down from $4.36 a gallon at the beginning of the week, which was the highest it’s been since May.
The average price Wednesday afternoon is $4.17 per gallon in Calhoun County, $4.13 in Hillsdale County, and $4.19 in St. Joseph County.
AAA says the national average is $4.08 per gallon.
GasBuddy.com lists prices between $3.46 and $3.48 per gallon across the border in Steuben County, Indiana, which is also down about 10 cents since Monday.
