READING TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Four people were hospitalized early Monday morning following a two-vehicle rollover crash at the intersection of M-49 and Bankers Road in Reading Township.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says around 5:00 a.m., an eastbound Chevrolet Suburban driven by 18-year-old Alana Pinson of Rives Junction entered the intersection and struck a northbound Jeep Cherokee driven by 48-year-old Stephenie Ankney of Reading.
The impact forced both vehicles off the road, causing Pinson’s SUV to flip onto its side and trapping all four occupants inside.
Emergency crews from multiple departments extracted the victims from the wreckage.
The Reading Emergency Unit transported Ankney, Pinson, and Pinson’s two unidentified passengers to Hillsdale Hospital for treatment with non life threatening injuries.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.
