GIRARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A motorcyclist was injured late Saturday morning when her cycle collided with a deer in Girard Township.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says 51-year-old Margo Boyd was heading north on Marshall Road near Vincent Road at about 11:45 a.m. when a deer ran into Boyd’s path from a wooded area.
The impact caused Boyd to lose control and crash.
Boyd was air lifted by helicopter to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo in serious condition.
Deputies say Boyd was wearing a helmet.
Life Care Ambulance, Coldwater firefighters and Air Care’s helicopter assisted the Sheriff’s Department.
