COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The equipment caravan is still coming, but it is running behind.
A delay in raising telephone lines in the Sturgis area has delayed two huge pieces of manufacturing equipment heading to Detroit from the Port of Indiana on U.S. 12 Monday. Drivers should be prepared for delays on each side of U.S. 12 as wires will have to raised.
The equipment was originally expected to reach Bronson at around 9:40 a.m. and Coldwater at about 10:30 a.m., but that has been pushed back by two hours
Consumer’s Energy crews will accompany the equipment as it makes its way across the state on U.S. 12, because the equipment is 18 foot tall.
The caravan is traveling at a speed of 15 to 20 miles an hour so traffic delays along U.S. 12 can be expected.
