COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital has joined the long list of medical facilities that is now limiting visitors to the hospital due to the flu.
Hospital officials say they are allowing one visitor per patient to the Emergency Room and two visitors per patient at the patient units.
It is also recommended for no one under the age of 15 visit patients in the hospital.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the flu is still widespread not only in Michigan but throughout the country.
There have been 37 influenza-associated deaths around the country this flu season.
Since October 1, 2017, there have been 535 people in Michigan that have been required to be hospitalized because of the flu. All but 30 were adults.
