BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Kellogg Community College has announced it will serve as a Frontliners Champion to support the Futures for Frontliners program unveiled by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
According to a press release issued by the college, K.C.C. has committed to making sure employees in the College’s service area of Barry, Branch and Calhoun counties know about this opportunity.
Futures for Frontliners offers Michigan residents who worked in essential industries during the April 1 through June 30 period, but who do not have a college degree, free resident-rate tuition to their local community college to pursue an associate degree or a skills certificate on a full-time or part-time basis while they continue to work.
Those without a high school diploma or equivalency are eligible for services to help them prepare for and complete this credential and go on to a community college or job training program.
The application period runs through the end of the year with enrollment beginning in January.
