KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Kinderhook Township Planning Commission made positive recommendations to the Township Board Thursday night on Special Land Use Permit requests for a proposed Dollar General store and a proposed winery and restaurant.
Both requests were approved on 4-0 votes.
Plans call for a Dollar General retail store to be built at 395 Iyopawa Road which is between I-69 and South Angola Road.
The proposed winery/restaurant would be located at 988 South Angola Road just south of Kope-Kon Road. The request for the Special Land Use Permit was made by Leisure Lakes, LLC of Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
A large crowd showed up for Thursday nights pubic hearings. The seating was arranged to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Those who attended were requested to observe state guidelines regarding masks.
Both of the Special Land Use Permit requests will be taken up by the Kinderhook Township board on Monday evening.
