BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – As of now, the 2021 Bronson Polish Festival is still a go for this July.
The Polish Festival committee recently met and they decided to move forward with this year’s festival which is scheduled to take place July 15, 16 and 17.
There will some changes taking into account social distancing and gathering limits but many of the events will still be held.
The Bronson Polish Festival is one of the biggest summertime events in Branch County but it did not take place in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was the first time in the 50 years of the annual event that the Polish Festival was been cancelled.
The Polish Festival gives Bronson residents a chance to celebrate their Polish heritage. But there were plenty of concerns among health officials about the gathering of large crowds last summer due to the coronavirus especially since a vaccine was not ready yet.
A series of requests for this years festival is scheduled to be approved by the Bronson City Council on Monday night.
