COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Tibbits Summer Theatre will open its 58th consecutive season of professional performances on Wednesday night with the musical theatre revue, “The Best of Broadway” at The Ponds of Coldwater.
Even though indoor capacity limits have been loosened in the State of Michigan and will be totally lifted on July 1, shows in the Tibbits Summer Theater will still be held outdoors at the Ponds for a second straight year.
Plans had already been made to have the shows at the Ponds. Tibbits Executive Director Christine Delaney told the Downtown Development Authority Board on May 26 it was too late for a turnaround when the announcement about increased capacity limits was made by the state.
The opening show will showcase the greatest hits from Broadway.
Tickets are available online at Tibbits.org, at the Tibbits administrative office at 93 West Chicago in Coldwater from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays or by calling 517-278-6029.
Golf carts will be provided to transport guests who need assistance from the parking lot to the pavilion. The Tibbits will follow COVID-19 guidelines at the time performances take place.
