COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater announced on Friday they are seeking applicants for the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan Community Development Fellowship.
According to a news release issued by the city, the 15-month paid position will help expand organizational capacity and take on various development projects in the City.
The fellow will work full-time beginning in October 2021. The deadline to apply is July 26, 2021.
The City of Coldwater is one of 10 Redevelopment Ready Communities selected by CEDAM and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to host fellows for 2021-22.
The fellow will be responsible for various projects that aid in community economic development.
Some potential projects include preparing an application for the next U.S.D.A. Rural Development Housing Preservation grant cycle.
The successful candidate would also create a framework for approving local development incentives and assist the Downtown Development Authority with a Strategic Plan update.
In addition to salary and benefits, the Community Development Fellowship also offers training, professional development, and networking opportunities for fellows.
