COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Community Foundation recently granted out nearly $2,900 in memorial funds from the Shirley Bailey Memorial Fund to the Branch Area Careers Center Health Science Program.
Bailey had a long and passionate career in nursing. She also served on the B.I.S.D. Board in different roles for 18 years.
Foundation Executive Director Erica Heminger says the Shirley Bailey Memorial Fund is an example of honoring a departed loved one.
With these memorial donations, the students in the Branch Area Careers Center Health Science Program will have access to additional funding to help them throughout their careers in health care.
The Health Science Program offers a two-year program where students can learn foundational healthcare concepts and also provides real world work opportunities at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital, Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility, The Laurels of Coldwater, and other area healthcare service providers.
