COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal varsity volleyball team held its postseason banquet Sunday afternoon at Bill’s Grill House, and sophomore outside hitter Kenzie Schied was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player by her teammates. Freshman setter Elli Foley was named Rookie of the Year, and senior Jayla Foster was voted Most Improved Player. Allison Miller won the Cardinal Award for best team player, Violet Waltke was voted Miss Super Spirit, and Caley Stout won the Savage Award.
Allison Miller and Elli Foley were named to the Interstate 8 All-Conference First Team, while Violet Waltke and Kenzie Scheid were Honorable Mention. Miller and Scheid also received Interstate 8 Academic All-Conference honors along with Jayla Foster, Cara Miller, and Jaelah Sloan. Foster and Allison Miller were named Academic All-State as individuals, while the team was once again named Academic All-State with a combined team GPA of 3.65.

The Cardinals finished with a 15-22-3 overall record, and they finished fourth in the Interstate 8 at 4-3.
