COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School boys basketball teams battled Marshall on Tuesday night with both of the A teams posting wins.
Legg’s eighth grade A team remained undefeated with a 51-36 victory. Julian Thompson led Legg with 14 points while Owen Tappenden added 11 points and Austin Downs scored seven points. With the win, the Cardinals improved to 7-0.
The Legg eighth grade B team lost 49-36. Luke Stevens, Michael Wright, Brennon Mortell and Kayden Roby all had six points. Wright grabbed eleven rebounds.
Legg’s seventh grade A team beat Marshall 51-49 as they improved to 6-1. Draycen Foster led Legg with 21 points, five steals and five assists while Dayton Ennis had 10 points. Joseph Hayward had four rebounds while Landon Dirschell had five steals.
The Legg seventh grade B team lost to Marshall 34-24. Rylan Edwards had six points while Dylan Smith had five points. Mason Sabaitis grabbed 11 rebounds.
