BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Five Branch County high school football players earned 2021 Big Eight Conference first team honors.
Union City’s Garrett Iobe earned all-conference honors at both running back and linebacker. His teammate Phoenix Elkins also made the first team on the defensive line.
Earning first team honors from Bronson were offensive lineman Damien Jewett and linebacker Jordan Shadix while Gabe Watson of Quincy was named the first team punter.
Union City players who earned second team honors were Terrance Morgan Junior at running back, Grady Iobe on the offensive and defensive line, Owen Jackson at linebacker and Brayton Mears at defensive back.
Making the second team from Quincy were Landen Kelley at running back, Zach Gary on the offensive line and Gavin George on the defensive line.
