COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Union City man entered a guilty plea to being in possession of methamphetamine during a plea hearing in Branch County Circuit Court on Monday but a second meth possession count as well as a charge of allegedly receiving and concealing stolen property will be dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea.
Sentencing for 39-year-old David Robert Evans is scheduled for January 31.
Michigan State Police troopers stopped a vehicle driven by Evans on U.S. 12 near Fiske Road last June 1.
Troopers reported they discovered suspected methamphetamine inside of the vehicle.
Evans was also charged with allegedly being in possession of meth when Coldwater Police and the State Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of North Clay Street last March
