COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A case involving a Coldwater man who is charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with an alleged incident involving an 11-year-old girl has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
35-year-old Adan George Rodriguez waived his District Court preliminary exam that was scheduled for Thursday.
Rodriguez is scheduled to appear for a Circuit Court arraignment on January 24.
He was arrested by Coldwater Police after they conducted an investigation into the alleged November 1 incident at a local residence.
The investigation included an examination of the alleged victim at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
According to Branch County court documents, the youngster told police about the alleged incident along with others that had been going on for three years.
Bond for Rodriguez is at $200,000 and a not guilty plea has been entered on his behalf. If he should post bond, Rodriguez has been ordered not to have any contact with the alleged victim and he is to have no unsupervised contact with any minor child.
