QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Tony Nowicki, Jacob Jodway and the 1949 undefeated Quincy football team were inducted into the Quincy Athletic Hall of Fame during ceremonies on Friday night before the varsity boys basketball game between Reading and Quincy.
Nowicki graduated in 2000 and excelled in football, basketball and track.
Jodway graduated in 2015 and had outstanding careers in football, basketball and baseball.
The 1949 Quincy Orioles football team achieved one of finest record ever turned in by a Quincy High School team. That Orioles team outscored the opposition 185-15. They were led by head coach Dale Shearer, assistant coach Vincent Jacobs and team captain Don Cook.
