FULTON, MI (WTVB) – The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi issued the oath of office Monday to the recently re-elected Tribal Council at the Pine Creek Indian Reservation in Fulton, Michigan.
The NHBP Tribal Council will keep the officers’ appointments the same as prior to the 2022 election. Jamie Stuck will serve as Chairperson, Dorie Rios as Vice Chairperson, Nancy Smit as Secretary, Jeff Chivis, Ph.D., as Treasurer, and Homer A. Mandoka of Bronson as Sergeant-at-Arms.
Mandoka, of Bronson, has served on Tribal Council since 2002. Over the years, Mr. Mandoka served as Treasurer and Vice-Chairman of the Tribal Council. In 2010, Mandoka was appointed at the Tribal Council Chairman and in 2012, was re-elected to his 5th term on the Tribal Council.
Previously he spent 15 years as a police officer for the City of Bronson.
