BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Spring continues to be nothing more but a rumor this year in Branch County.
April of 2022 will go down as one of the most miserable months of gloomy and depressing weather in recent memory.
There were only seven days when the high got above 60 degrees which included a high in the low 80s on the 23rd.
On other side of the coin, there were 13 days when the temperature stayed below 50 days.
Lowlights for the month included snowfall on April 18 and freeze warnings just a few days after highs reached the low 80s.
The M.S.U. Extension Service weather station at the Bloom Dairy Farm recorded 2.71 inches of rain for the month but it recorded measurable rain on 18 of the 30 days.
In addition, the weather station has recorded rain on 29 of the 45 days since St. Patrick’s Day totaling just over five inches.
