PARMA, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals settled for a split of their Interstate 8 doubleheader at Parma Western on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cardinals won the opener 11-4 but the Panthers bounced back to take game two 7-3.
Nate Tappenden was the winning pitcher in the first game as he recorded seven strikeouts in six innings of work.
Carter Bordner had two hits and two RBI’s in the opener while Garrett Johns, Cole Barker and Brock Thornton all had two hits.
Logan Farmer had a double and two RBI’s in the second game.
The split left Coldwater a record of 12-5. They are 7-1 in the Interstate 8.
