UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – It was a tough Thursday afternoon for the Union City Chargers baseball team as they were swept in a doubleheader by Climax-Scotts 13-0 and 11-4.
Climax-Scotts set the tone in the first inning of the opener as they scored nine runs.
Union City was held to one hit in the first game.
The Chargers had a 3-2 lead in the first inning of the nightcap before Climax scored three runs in the top of the second to take the lead for good.
The two losses dropped Union City’s record to 14-7.
