HANOVER, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles stayed above .500 on Wednesday night as they split a doubleheader at Hanover Horton.
The Orioles lost the opener 6-2 but came back to win the second game 8-3 and beat the weather before the heavy rains came.
Quincy used a six run fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie.
The rally made a winner of Karsen Maurer who pitched 3 2/3 innings while Ryan Kempter earned the save.
With the split, the Orioles stand at 13-12 on the season.
They head to Jackson Lumen Christi on Saturday to face the Titans and Brooklyn Columbia Central.
