UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The annual Riverside Cemetery tour has been scheduled for September 17 in Union City.
Organizers say they have six stories to tell at this year’s event.
Mary Brecheisen will be Caroline Hurd, the Union City socialite who is said to haunt the Victorian Villa.
E.J. Borne will be James F. Hartford, the Texas rancher who worked for C.W. Post.
Kristy Smith will be Neale Radabaugh, a spunky independent musician who ran her own business.
Amber Warner Herman and Alan Herman will be John and Beatrice Ennor. They were an eccentric couple that ran the Broadway Strand Theater.
Jill McCombs will be Carrie Krull, the matriarch of the Krull family who suffered a horrible unimaginable tragedy that shook Union City.
Brian Mccombs will be Orville Sanderson who is considered to be Union City’s King of Popcorn.
Tours will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m..
Plus, there will be a free geology tour before the first tour.
Tickets go on sale at the gate and are $10 a person, but kids 14 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
Golf carts are available and will be permitted on the tour.
