CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater and Union City’s Cross Country Teams competed at the Centreville Invitational on Saturday.
High school races were done in a 9th/10th and 11th/12th grade format.
The Union City 9th/10th boys scored 55 points and were runner-ups to Buchanan with 39.
Scoring and medaling for the Chargers were Ben Gautsche (2nd), Jason Shoop (4th), and Malachi Payne in 23rd place.
The Union City 9th/10th grade girls were first with 30 points, finishing ahead of 2nd place Sturgis with 48.
Scoring and medaling for Union City were Skyler Fraley (4th), Alissa Skirka (8th), Murcie Wallen in 12th, and Elizabeth Arlt in 18th.
The Coldwater boys were seventh in the 11th/12th grade race. Haroon Omar was fifth for the Cardinals. James DeWitt was 11th.
Coldwater’s Macy Stout was 42nd in the 11th/12th grade girls race.
Lainey Yearling was an 11th place medal winner for the Lady Cards in the girl’s freshman/sophomore competition.
