UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Chargers boys and girls basketball teams overwhelmed outmatched Marshall Academy squads on Monday at the McNett Fieldhouse.
The Union City boys posted a 95-7 victory. Landon Galvin led four Chargers in double figures with 23 points. Rick Austin had 14 points, Jeremy Zehr added 13 points, Nathaniel Maurer had 11 points and Alex Hull had 10 points.
Union City is now 4-1.
The Union City girls took advantage of a short-handed Marshall Academy team as they won Monday’s non-conference game 65-9.
Marshall Academy only dressed five players and due to fouls finished the game with two players on the court.
Willow Austin and Natalie Needham both scored 12 points for Union City as the Chargers improved to 2-5.
