UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Union City will be moving the stop signs at the corner of Dirks Drive and Goodwin Drive in the next couple weeks.
The Village Council decided during their April meeting to switch the stop signs to allow traffic on Goodwin Drive to pass through without stopping.
The traffic on Dirks Drive will have to stop when the switch is made.
According to a post on the Village’s Facebook page, the decision was made when weighing the bulk of the traffic is on Goodwin and Dirks Drive now dead ends just south of the intersection.
Crews are getting ready to make the switch and the village says red flashing lights will be installed on the newly placed stop signs to help draw attention to the move.
