ROME (Reuters) – Italy’s Leonardo is in ongoing talks with European peers over the organisation and governance of its space division, the state-controlled group said in slides prepared for its half-year results.
The aerospace and defence company added it would present a strategy framework for its space business – seen as one of the key sectors for future growth – by the end of September and would draw up a broader business plan by the end of the year.
Frances Airbus is drawing up a turnaround plan for its struggling Space Systems business, industry sources said on Monday, as it is tied in talks that include Leonardo as well as France’s Thales but none of the companies involved had any comment.
