ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – Pakistan police arrested the chief minister of the northwestern province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and key aide of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan from Islamabad, local television channel Geo News reported on Saturday, citing sources.
There was no official confirmation of the arrest from authorities. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was leading a convoy of Khan’s supporters into Islamabad which had clashed with police officers on Friday.
