Carlton Larry “Carl” Sours, 80 of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his home in Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow the service at Mason Cemetery.
Visitation will be held that morning from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
He was born January 4, 1945 to Harold and Alene (Coffey) Sours in Coldwater, MI. February 7, 1975, Carl married Judy Ann Adams in Quincy, MI and she survives.
Carl was a dedicated man that valued his family and hard work above all else. He began his varied career as a truck driver, started his own lawn care business which then led him to working construction and ultimately retired from Leader Logistics in Coldwater again as a truck driver.
Even in his retirement, Carl made sure to keep busy with one job or another, but his greatest job was always making sure his family was taken care of.
In his downtime, Carl enjoyed going to car shows, catching up with his friends from Acorn, and most of all, time well spent with his family.
In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Judy Sours of Coldwater, Carl leaves behind his children Kile (Ann) Sours of Reading, Andrea “Ann” (Gene) Strong of Quincy, Dianne Sours of Reading, Lorie Easterday of Quincy, Lisa (James) Dunlap of Camden, Beth (Rick) Burnau of Fremont, IN, Kimberly Easterday, Melissa (Kenneth) Teachout LaGrange, IN, Shanna (Matthew) Houtz of Coldwater; his siblings Caroline (Elroy) VanNuys, Gloria (Dennis) Sattler, Anita (Kelly) Boothby all of Montgomery; his 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and his many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Larry Sours.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House.
