Judith Ann “Judy” Foster, 81, of Coldwater, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care and Rehabilitation in Coldwater.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Brad Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at South Allen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Judy was born January 13, 1944 in Allen to Vera (Welch) Taylor and was later adopted by Kenneth Taylor. In 1961, she married her first husband, Larry Hinsdale, who preceded her in death. She later married James Foster, who also preceded her in death.
A longtime resident of Branch County, Judy attended Quincy Schools and held several jobs throughout her life. She spent many years at Quality Springs in Coldwater and later worked at the Carriage Inn (now The Laurels of Coldwater), a local daycare, and as an in-home health aide. Judy was deeply devoted to helping others, both in her work and in her personal life.
In her free time, Judy enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows and reading devotional books. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially caring for her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
Judy leaves behind her daughters, Linda (Greg) Kochendorfer of Coldwater and Jamie Thomet of Fort Wayne, IN; her grandchildren, Melinda Cafarelli, Chelsea Kochendorfer, Duane (MakaylaAnne) Mundy, Garrett Kochendorfer, Ashley (Heath) Walton, Jayden, Kaylyn, Brenden, and Faith Thomet, and Hunter Underwood; and her great-grandchildren, Khloe Thurman, Ansley Cafarelli, Allison Walton, and Landrew Mundy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husbands; her siblings, Mary Stoddard and Jack Taylor; and her daughter, Monica Hinsdale.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
