Robert “Bob” L. Brown, 92, of Coldwater passed away peacefully Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Drews Place in Coldwater.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater, with the date to be announced.
Ashes will be interred later at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Hot Springs Village, AR.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
Bob was born November 1, 1932 to Charles and Jeanette (Masbaum) Brown in New Haven, IN. Bob married the love of his life, Donna Guiff, April 16, 1955 in New Haven. They enjoyed their life together raising 5 children, and shared 67 years of marriage before she preceded him in death April 8, 2022.
Bob honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 9 years during the Korean Conflict. After returning to civilian life, he worked at Eckrich in Quincy, MI, retiring in 1991 after 35 dedicated years. Bob and Donna enjoyed their retirement in Hot Springs Village, AR, eventually returning to Coldwater after 25 years.
He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church as well as of both the Coldwater American Legion and the Hot Springs Village American Legion. Bob further extended his service to his community as a volunteer football coach and firefighter. His family has fond memories of his love for the outdoors, football, playing cards and being a prankster.
Bob’s greatest joy in life was his family, especially watching his grandkids play.
Bob leaves behind his children Linda (Stan) Robinett of Coldwater, MI, Victoria Goebel and Mark (Teresa) Brown, both of San Antonio, TX, Patricia (Denny) Iott of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, and Sandra (Scott) Watson of Oak Grove, MO; his siblings Joan Huber of New Haven, IN, Sharon (John) Matese of Eugene, OR, and Mary (Joe) Weldy of Frankfort, IN; his 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and 6 step-great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Donna, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charles “Bud” Brown, his sister-in-law Lois Brown, and his brother-in-law Joe Huber.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Branch County Veteran Affairs.
