Gary L. Blair, 73, of Quincy passed away in his home Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Jeff Bream officiating.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery.
Gary was born to LeRoy and Blanche (Otis) Blair on August 7, 1951, in Coldwater. He married Brenda Yates on June 30, 2007, and she survives.
Gary graduated from Coldwater High School in 1971 and went on to work as the Sergeant Corrections Officer at the Florence Crane Women’s Facility in Coldwater for many years.
When he wasn’t working, he could be found spending time outdoors hunting or fishing. He was an avid knife collector, enjoyed all forms of martial arts, and liked all kinds of dragons.
Gary had a love of classic cars and was the proud owner of a cherry red Ford Custom ’57, named “Maggie Mae”.
Above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Blair; five children, Levi (Arica) Blair, Dusty Blair, Jessica (Mike) Kremsreiter, Summer Culbertson, and Jason Dickerson; and eight grandchildren, Lucy, Logan, Caden, Ambriah, Brooktynn, Leah, Jacob, and Lexie.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, Delphine, Stanley, Jerry, Larry Blair, Patricia Risner, Linda Blair-Russell, and Bob Blancher.
