Donald Olen Slayton, 76, of Coldwater passed away peacefully at his home in Coldwater.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place with no services to be held at this time.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
He was born November 17, 1948 to Robert and Margaret (Tompsett) Slayton in Battle Creek, MI.
Don was a hardworking, dedicated, man that led a career with Toth Heating & Plumbing for many years until his retirement.
He held a passion for woodworking and cars, constructing many beautiful household items over the years until his health no longer permitted him to do so.
Don leaves behind his children Mike (Becky) Slayton of Holland, MI, Christy (Deric) Sliger of Marcellus, MI; his sister Diane Charon of Coldwater; his grandchildren Tyler Slayton, Brittney Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Christina Reynolds; 8 great grandchildren; and his loving nieces and nephews Lonnie Bogucki, Amy (Joe) Urban, Odette (Otto Fields) Charon; and his grandniece Luna Fields.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
