In addition to his wife, Robin, Joel is survived by three children; Shantel (Paul) Sicinski, Gina Ralston, and stepson Luke Kesson. He is also survived by daughter-in-law; Connie Houck, brother, Max Houck Jr., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Nancy Houck and Sally Houck, and Charlie Hutching, who was like a son to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Joel Houck Jr.; two brothers, Lynn and Tim Houck.
