Lavern K. Fisher, 74, of Edon, OH, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
Graveside services for Lavern Fisher will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
He was born December 17, 1950 in Hillsdale to Dale and Leona (Carr) Fisher.
Lavern attended Pittsford and North Adams Schools. He was a long-haul Semi truck driver throughout most of his life and was most recently retired from Conway Freight. He was a talented amateur mechanic and enjoyed woodworking. His passion, however, was for sailing. Lavern lived in Florida for over 15 years and loved taking friends and family out on his sailboat.
Survivors include two brothers, Marcus Cole of Chicago and Daryl Fisher of Ann Arbor; niece, Carmen (Chris) Lapham; nephews, John (Lori) Fisher, Chris and Brandon (Amanda) Fisher; and six great nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Leona (Carr) Fisher and brother, Larry Fisher.
