QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Community Schools is seeking public input to help prioritize upcoming facility needs. The district is inviting staff, families, and community members to a Community Forum on Monday, Oct. 27, to discuss potential improvements.
Superintendent John Denney says they recently had a facility assessment completed with architects and construction management teams that revealed over $23 million dollars in just repairs that need to be done, that figure doesn’t include any potential renovations. Denney says the current middle school is 94-years-old and has never had a major renovation. He says they are currently looking a multiple options.
Denney says the high school is in fairly good condition but work is needed at the elementary school.
Denney talked about the total cost of the potential renovations
Denney stressed no decisions have been made and that is why they are seeking community feedback at next Mondays forum before moving forward on any potential work.
