COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the number of Cyclosporas cases in the state is now at two-thousand-640.
That figure is as of Monday, and 44 people have been hospitalized for treatment. Cyclosporiasis is an intestinal illness caused by a parasite that results in sudden and explosive diarrhea.

So far there are cases in 44 of Michigan’s 83 counties. As of the latest numbers released Monday Branch County has had zero reported cases, Calhoun County now has 37 confirmed cases.
