JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – After losing at Pennfield last Friday, both of the Coldwater High School bowling teams defeated Jackson Northwest Tuesday. The boys varsity rolled a 1,832 to Northwest’s 1,601. Coldwater won the baker games 199-189 and 189-131. Alec Keplinger had a 246 and a 223 for a 469 series. Dayten Yearning had a 191 and a 168 for a 359 series.
The Coldwater girls defeated Northwest 1,576 to 1,355. They also won the baker games 288-266. Alysia VanWormer had a 180 and a 168 for a 348 series. Noella Keplinger had a 179 and a 158 for a 337. Coldwater also defeated Northwest in the JV girls match 1,232 to 764 in the regular games and 264-197 in the baker series. Jillian Combs rolled a 156 while Ashley Mobley rolled a 154.
Coldwater will host Pennfield Friday and will travel to Sturgis for a tournament Sunday.
Quincy split their bowling match with Napoleon. The Quincy Girls won 21-9. Cassie White had a 340 series. Napoleon defeated the Quincy Boys 22-8 in a match that came down to 10th frame. Only 19 pins separated the two teams..
