COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An Indiana man was given an 11 month jail sentence on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court after he entered guilty pleas to charges of carrying a concealed weapon and being in possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance. 19-year old Adrian Christopher Crabb of Leesburg was arrested following a traffic stop by the Michigan State Police on I-69 near Dorrance Road.
Crabb was looking at six charges following his arrest.
In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutor dropped the other four charges including two counts of concealing and receiving stolen property, resisting and obstructing and possession of burglary tools.
In addition to his time in jail, Crabb must serve two years of probation and pay over $1,200 in court costs and fines. He was given credit for 93 days already served in jail.
Co-defendant 19-year-old Kaleb Perry of Syracuse, Indiana recently entered a no contest plea to a charge of smuggling contraband into the jail.
