BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Cam Torres rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on Friday night and the Coldwater defense forced four turnovers as the Cardinals defeated the Loy Norrix Knights 28-7 to improve to 3-0 for the season.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Cardinals scored twice in the second quarter on a 12 yard TD by Torres and a 30 yard pass from Cooper Fredlund to Spencer Rodesiler.
Coldwater added two more scores in the third quarter on a two yard TD by Deandre Douglas and a 44 yard scamper by Torres.
The Knights got their only TD in the fourth quarter. Coldwater had a slight edge in total yards 248-241.
Fredlund led the Coldwater defense as he was in on eight tackles.
