HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – Two Hillsdale Academy golfers have received 2023 Division IV All-State honors from the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association.
Juniors Rykert Frisinger of Coldwater and Ridley Fast of Hillsdale earned the recognition for their consistent performances throughout the season.
Individually, Frisinger and Fast finished first and second respectively in the SCAA conference this year while leading Hillsdale Academy to a conference title. Frisinger shared the top-spot at the regional meet, while Fast finished tied for third as the Colts took the regional crown.
At the state meet, where the Hillsdale Academy team finished as state runners-up, Frisinger tied for third and Fast earned fifth place.
Hillsdale Academy Coach Rolla Frisinger also garnered recognition as he has been selected as the 2023 Regional Boys Golf Coach of the Year and will be honored at the association’s Hall of Fame Banquet on August 1.
In his two seasons at the helm of the Colts, Frisinger has captured two SCAA conference titles, a regional championship, and had a team finish as Division IV state runners-up, Hillsdale Academy’s highest-ever finish in a season.
